CHICAGO, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange ended higher Monday as a weak U.S. dollar helped the precious metal to make its first gain in three sessions.
The most active gold contract for December delivery rose 1.5 U. S. dollars, or 0.11 percent, to settle at 1,314.7 dollars per ounce. Gold prices slipped 2.7 percent in the past two trading sessions to close Friday at their lowest level since mid-October.

BEIJING, July 10 (Xinhua) -- China's top economic planner announced Monday the country's lenders will cancel or suspend charges on some financial services to support the development of the real economy.
The move will reduce the financial burden on bank clients by 6.1 billion yuan (897.7 million U.S. dollars) each year, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) estimated.

BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- The credibility of China's national economic data will not be threatened by statistics calculated at regional level, an official said Thursday.

China will punish local governments and enterprises for falsifying or withholding data through lawful means, Ning said.
